    Peace Quote

We are already one. But we imagine that we are not. And what we have to recover is our original unity. What we have to be is what we are.   - Thomas MertonDear Ones, We are more than just the body we inhabit, we are more than what we “think” we are.   Our being is complete, sacred and divine.  At the deepest level of our existence, we are made of love Itself.  Contemplate the depths, the breadth and the heights of your being beingness.  Know your own Truth…and rest in That.

    You Are Shiva…

    You are the whole of
    Shiva
    yet existing within
     Shiva.

I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.

    Go with the Flow

Do you “go with the flow”?    Swami Nirmalananda tells us that “control is an illusion”.  Have you noticed in your life what happens when you don’t  go with the flow?    My experience with refusing to go with the flow has given me several lessons, and at times…these lessons turn into very painful experiences - sometimes physically - sometimes emotionally.  My mind used to tell me that I wasn’t ”good enough”…  I compared myself to others and always felt somehow “small”.   I thought I had to effort to improve myself.     My mind dictated that I had to do something to make my world change.  After contemplating  this theme, I found  that I already was what I need to be…. and my refusing to rest into that beingness was my downfall.  I discovered that my thoughts were far from the truth.  Going with the flow ~ allowing life to unfold in it’s own way is the Truth.

What would happen if we simply trust in the natural unfolding?  Why do we feel that we have to do so much to make ourselves over constantly?   Go with the flow…   Give it a try!   I have used this concept in my own life recently.  I am “letting go” of ideas and pre-conceived notions.  I feel as if I am reclaiming my life.  We are more than just this body, we are more than what our mind tells us we are. …there is a deeper level of existence that is always with us.  To access that deeper level and “go with the flow”, it’s necessary to have a quiet mind.  Meditation or mantra repetition will help you achieve a quiet mind. When the mind stops chattering  and resisting, you can “go with the flow”, you are able to think more clearly and your reaction to what had been bothering you drops away.   “DO MORE YOGA”

    Namaste,  Lataa

From the Ashram by Swami Nirmalanda

The Kathopanishad describes Shiva as “greater than the greatest”
and as “smaller than the smallest” -   encompassing and becoming
    the expanse of space
    (and beyond)
    to the subatomic particles
    (and smaller).
